Because a large impulse current will be generated when the motor is started, and the voltage drop will be generated when the sliding contact line is too long, in order to maximize the protection of the safe sliding contact line and maximize its value, the cross-sectional area of the driving sliding contact line can be appropriately increased when selecting the sliding contact line, and the power line is connected to the middle of the sliding contact line, or multi-point power supply to ensure the stability of the voltage.

When the sliding line is connected to the power supply, the power line should be installed with isolating appliances and short circuit protection appliances. If two or more vehicles are used, the maintenance section is recommended to be installed at the appropriate position of the sliding contact line, so that if a crane needs maintenance, the power supply of the maintenance part can be disconnected through the maintenance section, and the other vehicle can be used normally. When the length of the sliding contact cable is too long or the power supply system is larger than 80M, you can add an expansion section based on the environment and the number of devices to prevent damage to the sliding contact cable due to thermal expansion and contraction.

It is necessary to check the use of the sliding contact line regularly. Generally, the sliding contact line needs to be checked once a year, and the Angle steel supports are kept parallel. Check the collector wear condition, when the collector brush head wear more than two-thirds, need to replace the collector, or replace the collector carbon brush;

Check whether the aluminum connector, connector sheath, lifting rack and other accessories of the sliding contact line are intact and loose. If yes, replace it in time. Before checking these accessories, be sure to cut off the total power supply to avoid unnecessary safety risks.
